Create a Collection

As Sintelix processes documents into collections, it is recommended that you align your collections with the configurations A group of settings that enable you to control the way in which a specific process or function in Sintelix works.; thereby network creation gets easier to configure.

To create a collection:

  1. Open the project into which you want to create a collection.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To create a collection from the Collections screen, select Collections from the, the Main Navigation Bar, and go to the Create section, as shown in the following screenshot:

    • To create a collection from the Project Overview tab, select Create Collection. The Create a new Document Collection dialog displays:
  3. From the Ingestion Configuration dropdown list, select the ingestion configuration you want to apply to the collection.
  4. To view and modify ingestion configurations on a new window, select the open icon beside Ingestion Configuration field.

  5. In the Collection Name field, enter a name for the collection.
  6. To add security to the collection, do the following:
    1. Select No additional security.
    2. On the Edit Security Metadata dialog, click the plus symbol beside Users or Groups, enter the user name or group name then click Add. Add other users or groups as required. Click Apply.
  7. Select Create.
  8. If you have created the collection from the Collections screen, the collection is created and opened, as shown in the following screenshot:

    If you have created the collection from the project’s Overview tab, the collection is created but not opened.

    You can only view and edit collections if you have sufficient permission to do so.

    You can now add documents to the collection (see Add (Ingest) Documents).
