Install the Sintelix Agent on a Separate Machine
Introduction
The Sintelix Agent may be installed on a different machine from the main Sintelix application.

Sintelix Agent on a Separate Machine
The table below describes the decisions and information required when installing Sintelix Agent on a separate machine.

When installing the agent on a separate machine, the following folders are required:

Agent ports |
The agent ports to use. Defaults :
You can enter your own ports or keep the default settings. Take note of the HTTP port number as you will use to navigate to the Sintelix Agent. For example, http://localhost:8082 to open the Sintelix Agent once the installation is complete. |
Agent Password | You can set the password for accessing the Sintelix Agent. Note the password down for use when logging in to the Agent. |
Windows or macOS installation
If installing the Sintelix Agent on a PC running Windows or macOS, you can simply:
- Run the Installer and follow the instructions, accepting the default settings or modifying them based on the guidelines in Preparing to Install Sintelix.
- Log into Sintelix and connect the Sintelix Agent.
Linux installation
Installing on Linux uses the same installation Shell script as that used for installing the main Sintelix application.
To install only the Sintelix Agent, include only the Sintelix Agent installation zip file in the installers folder.
