About the Sintelix Extension for Harvesting

The Sintelix Extension is a Chrome Browser Extension designed to work with the Sintelix Harvester.

When installed, the Sintelix Extension icon is available from the browser address bar.

The Sintelix Extension allows you to:

• Manually Harvest the web page you are currently viewing. See Harvest via Sintelix Extension.

• Add a URL to Store to save the URL List to use later from the Harvester.

  You can also remove a URL from the URL list. See Add URL to Store.

• Create a New Rule Set: this allows you to set rules, usually for a specific website, for extracting content from a web page. That is, it allows you to identify content to include and what to exclude, when harvesting from a web page with a particular URL pattern. See Harvest to a Gold Standard Collection.

• Enable Incognito mode : You can toggle Allow in incognito to allow you to use the Sintelix Extension while browsing in Incognito Mode. See Harvest in Incognito Mode.

When you select the Sintelix Extension icon , the following screen is displayed:

	2.0.22	Version Number.
	user@sintelix.com	Username of the current user logged into Sintelix.
	@master.test.sintelix.net	URL of the Sintelix instance running.
		The extension requires a connection to Sintelix. If Sintelix is not currently open, this is the only active option on the screen. Select this option to open Sintelix in a new tab.
		Select this option to harvest the current web page. See Harvest via Sintelix Extension
		Select this option to copy the current web page URL to a URL list (displayed at the bottom of the extension). See Add URL to Store. This is used in Sintelix to Harvest using a list of URLs. See Harvest via URLs.
		Opens a wizard to create a new Harvesting Rule Set.
	URLs	Lists the URLs currently stored in the URL List. This is used in Sintelix to Harvest using a list of URLs. See Harvest via URLs.
