User Guide

This guide is for all Sintelix users. It describes how to extract information from unstructured text, and how to explore and analyse the network of data.

Before you can use Sintelix, you need to login.

You will need to activate your Sintelix account the first time you login.

Create a Project

To start using Sintelix, you need to create a Project. A project is a container for collections, networks and configurations. A Project file can be copied, exported and imported.

Create a Collection

Collections store and organise the documents ingested into Sintelix.

Only text content is stored in Collections, not the original files.

Add Documents

Documents can be added to a collection at any time, or use the Ingestion Scheduler to automatically check for new or updated files/emails, then add them into a collection.

Harvest Documents

The Sintelix Harvester can collect content from the web. The web content is converted to Sintelix documents and added to a collection.

Search

Sintelix search allows you to investigate documents and create document processing configurations.

Question Answering

Just ask a question! Let Sintelix find the answers for you.

Query a collection or multiple collections.

Analyse and Visualise

Sintelix offers several tools to help you refine and analyse the information extracted from your documents.

Many of the features and access to Sintelix are configurable. There may be small variations between screen images in this guide, and your installation of Sintelix, and some features may not be available.

Most of the images in this guide appear as thumbnails, and can be expanded by clicking on it. Then click on it again to collapse it.

Green text indicates a glossary term. Hover over the term to display the definition. Alternatively, you can look up words directly in the Glossary List of Sintelix specific text definitions..
