Networks Overview Pane
Quick Summary
When you have selected a Network to explore from the Networks Pane, the Network Overview pane is displayed. When you select:
- a node (or combination of nodes) in the Overview panel
, the results are displayed in a Node Table
.
- a link (or combination of links) in the Overview panel
, the results are displayed in a Link Table.
- the
Open/Close icon
above the Overview panel will close the panel giving more room to view the Network Table.
- the
Open/Close icon on the left of the Overview panel
will open the Networks panel, allowing you to choose a different network to explore.
Actions
On the Overview pane, you can:

Select a Node (entity) to view the Node Table. Selecting the Node name, e.g. Person, selects just that Node. Selecting the Node checkbox allows you to select multiple nodes. |

Select a Link to view the Link Table. Selecting the Link name, e.g. Postion-location, selects just that Link. Selecting the Link checkbox allows you to select multiple links. |

Select the down arrow next to a Node or Link to display the advanced actions menu. |

Shows the Node Table. This is the same as simply selecting the Node name to display the Node table. |

Allows you to add an additional Node record, for example to add another Person to the Persons Node. |

Opens the Refine Clusters panel for this Node type. See Refine cluster nodes. |

Opens the Edit Schema pop-up for this Node type. |

Deletes all Node records for that Node type. For example, it deletes all persons of the Person type. If you select this option, a pop-up is displayed to confirm the deletion. |

Creates and copies a link to the Node/Link table. You can add this link to your documents or project pages. |

At the bottom of the Overview panel, you can select the Ontology dropdown to link to the Ontology configuration currently applied to this network.
